Questions
What is Bloodwork?
A site and an iPhone app that read your blood test. Upload the PDF your lab emailed you, from any lab and in any language, or scan the paper report with your iPhone, and see every value against its reference range, your biological age, and how each value moves over time.
How do I add a report?
On the site, drop the PDF on the Add a Report page. On the iPhone, choose the file or scan the paper report with the camera. Every value is read from it and matched to the LOINC catalog, so different labs line up on one chart.
Which labs work?
Any lab whose report is a PDF with selectable text, in any language. Reports from Quest, LabCorp, Synevo, ALAB and Diagnostyka are among those read so far. A test name the catalog does not know yet is kept exactly as your lab printed it, and a value whose match or unit looked doubtful is marked for you to confirm before it counts.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The site reads one report without an account and keeps it for 48 hours; sign in to keep it. On the iPhone you sign in with Apple first.
Is Bloodwork free?
The first 3 reports are free: one with no account and 2 more when you sign in. After that, reports come in packs of 5, 20 or 60, bought in the iPhone app and used on the site too. A report of up to 5 pages is one report; a longer one counts as more. A report that cannot be read gives its credit back.
Who reads my file?
Anthropic (Claude) reads each PDF to find the values; the copy sent to Anthropic is deleted as soon as the reading is done. A model on Cloudflare matches each printed test name to the catalog; it sees the test name, its unit and the heading above it, never your name, a date or the report. Nothing you upload is used to train any model.
Is my data private?
Your reports and the values read from them are kept in the EU and seen by no one else: no ads, no trackers, nothing sold. You can download everything Bloodwork holds about you as one file from Account, and delete a report, or your whole account with every file, at any time. The privacy page says exactly what is kept and who sees what.
Can I track results for family members?
No. An account is one person's. A file that carries results for two people is stopped before anything is sent, and a report is read for one person at a time.
What are reference ranges?
The range your lab printed beside the value, and, where the catalog holds one, the range a named lab or body publishes: Mayo, ARUP, LabCorp, the American Board of Internal Medicine. Every range is shown with its source and none is invented. Two labs can disagree, and the page says so rather than averaging them.
Can it read Apple Health?
Yes, on the iPhone, and read only. You choose each kind of data: off, on this iPhone, or also in your account. Weight, resting heart rate, VO2 max, sleep, steps and more are drawn next to a marker. Nothing is written back to Apple Health.
Is Bloodwork a medical device?
No. Bloodwork is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. It shows your results against published ranges and guidance cited to a named guideline or institute. What a result means for you is a question for a clinician.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone (iOS 27 or later) and any web browser, with one account on both.
